Advice Note Definition:

A document sent by a supplier to the customer prior to the invoice. Sometimes it precedes the goods, and sometime accompanies them. It states nature and quantity of the goods but not their price. Essentially just an indication that the goods are on the way, it is sometimes confused with delivery note.
