Goods Sent to Branch Definition:

A term used for the goods that are sent by the head office to the branch for sale. An account known as "goods sent to branch account" is maintained to record the amount of these goods. This account is credited with the invoice price of the goods sent to branch by the head office and transferred from other branches and debited with the invoice price of the goods returned/transferred by the branch.
